Congratulations to Jigsaw!

It’s nice to see one of the key members of the so-called “Sales 2.0 Mafia” (as one of my favorite bloggers Garth Moulton calls it) become part of Salesforce.com. Today it was announced that Salesforce Buys Business Directory Jigsaw For $142 Million In Cash Plus Earn-Out.  I’ve been a long-time user of Jigsaw and a big fan of the management team.  Congratulations!

It’s going to be interesting to see what this means for the very-crowded Sales Intelligence category on the AppExchange.  Although many of these vendors have long had partnerships with Jigsaw, I’m sure they’ll be working on responses to this news today:

  • InsideView
  • D&B / Hoovers
  • OneSource
  • Dow Jones
  • LexisNexis

By the way, if you’re a Salesforce.com customer and somehow not familiar with Jigsaw, note that their Prospector application has well over 200 fantastic reviews on the AppExchange. Very impressive indeed!
